Deploy to AWS US-East-1 and US-West-2
Run your apps on Amazon Web Services without managing EC2, EKS, or VPCs.
Get the industry-standard infrastructure of AWS with the developer experience of a PaaS.

Latency matters.
If your users are in North America, or if you integrate with other AWS services, running your code close to your data is critical.
Gigalixir allows you to choose specific AWS regions for your application.
You get the low-latency benefits of co-location without having to configure region-specific infrastructure.
We build on top of the industry standard.
Your application runs on the same infrastructure trusted by the world's largest enterprises, but we handle the complexity.
Your applications run on Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS). This provides industry-leading orchestration stability and security.
We manage the control plane, node pools, and upgrades so you never have to touch kubectl.
Our managed databases in these regions are backed by AWS infrastructure (EBS volumes), ensuring high durability and IOPS performance.
We handle the provisioning and backups, giving you a robust data layer without the management overhead.
We leverage AWS's massive elastic capacity.
Whether you need to scale to one node or one hundred, the compute power is available instantly.
You are not constrained by the physical hardware limits of a smaller VPS provider.

The Questions We Get The Most at Gigalixir Support
For standard accounts, applications connect to external resources over the public internet (secured via TLS).
For enterprise customers with strict security requirements, we can support VPC peering or PrivateLink connectivity to your existing AWS infrastructure.
Please contact support to discuss enterprise plans.
No. Our pricing is consistent across all clouds and regions.
You pay the standard rate ($10/mo per 200MB memory block) regardless of whether you deploy to AWS or GCP.
We absorb the variation in underlying infrastructure costs.
When you create your app using the CLI, specify the cloud and region using the flags: gigalixir create --cloud aws --region us-east-1.
If you do not specify a region, we may default to a specific location, so explicit selection is recommended.
Yes.
Database backups for applications running in AWS regions are stored in AWS S3 Standard storage within the same region.
This ensures high durability and fast restore times in the event of data loss.
You cannot "move" a running app directly.
To change regions, you must create a new app in the target region, migrate your database data (using pg_dump and pg_restore), and update your DNS records to point to the new app's load balancer.
